So MetroCon wasn't as big as I expected. I thought that the convention center would be Anime Boston sized since it's "the largest anime convention in Florida," but I was wrong. The convention center was fairly small compared to Anime Boston, though I heard the panel rooms could seat a lot of people. (I wouldn't know, I usually don't attend panels at conventions.) But I also didn't have as much fun as I do when I'm with friends. (My mom came with me so she could see what Florida conventions were like--since she used to go to ConnectiCon with me and my friends when we were just starting to go to cons.)
However, I'm very pleased that she said she had fun and enjoyed the convention. And I'm extremely happy that she brought her camera and I was able to get more pictures of my God Tier Mituna cosplay (Since my Anime Boston photos were NEVER posted when my photographer said they'd be up after 3 weeks....it's now been 2 months.) though I did forget my teeth at home when we were rushing to get on the road.
Anyways, I'm now retiring from Homestuck cosplay--Mituna was the last character I will make for Homestuck. I will gladly rewear him (in either normal or God Tier) if I'm needed for something. (Not for Anime Boston though, shipping these things was a pain this year.)
This year I will be working on the Listener!Dragonborn from Skyrim (in Shrouded Robes from the Dark Brotherhood) as well as Cyrus from Animal Crossing: New Leaf.
I'm also bringing back Chrona (Soul Eater) to cosplay with KorpseCosplay
, who's bringing her Maka back, but first I need to fix a few things, I even invested in a brand new wig for her.
(And I'm thinking of fixing or remaking my chibi Ragnarok plush.)
I will not be attending anymore Florida conventions this year or next year--since I'm saving for Anime Boston, and then I graduate from college in June if all goes well. So unless someone convinces me to go to AFO or ShadoCon or Holiday Matsuri, I won't be planning on going.
